The reason the following article is interesting to me is because it puts into a verified report the impression many people (including myself) had about the conduct of post-invasion Iraqi operations -- regardless what the officially distorted White House communications claimed. It portrays a picture of poor management and coordination, bad or negligent planning, and general ineptitude regarding the organization an occupied nation.
For me it confirms that the Bush administration had no idea what it was getting itself into by attacking Saddam Hussein, and that -- perhaps -- it really didn't care much about the consequences. They wanted to win, and get what they wanted -- and they did that.
Excuse my cynicism here (and in other places), but so far it's been 7 years of being told one thing and finding out the truth is another -- and this will drive even the most gullible well-wisher into a disillusioned malcontent.
