Holding Doors - A Request

Look, if you're 5 paces in front of me and you go out the door, please don't stand there holding it for me and expect me to walk hurriedly towards it to receive your judicious favor. I can open it myself!
'Politeness' and 'courtesy' have reached a frightening pitch these days. And these little courtesies amount to nothing, besides. Am I supposed to respect the person more because they spent 10 idle seconds there propping a heavy door against their shoulder for no apparent reason? That's their choice, not mine. The whole situation is just unnatural if you ask me.

Again, let's just cease with these subterfuges of benignity. If we're all really so f'in nice deep down then just get on with your life and go demonstrate it in a way that matters.
